PROFILE
Andrew Sorensen is the successful and hard working co-partner of Raine & Horne
Charmhaven, one of the leading real estate offices on the Central Coast.
At 31 years old, Andrew is in the prime of his real estate career, having worked
locally for eight years, including six years in the Charmhaven market. In this time
Andrew has developed an extensive knowledge of the market, while building a
strong working relationship with the Central Coast community.
Born and bred on the Central Coast, Andrew’s family owned and operated
HI-Torque, a motor boat sales and repairs operation at Long Jetty and West
Gosford. A handy amateur boxer and rugby league player, Andrew started his
working life as a mechanic, before shifting to retail management with Toys ’R Us
Erina.
Andrew moved into real estate after buying a house, and discovering the service he
received wasn’t quite right. Recognising an opportunity, the industrious Andrew
resolved to do better, and having always been in a customer-focused environment,
saw his retail and small business background as a natural fit for a career in property.
What excites Andrew most about real estate is the opportunity to meet new people,
and especially those new to real estate. With his commitment to customer service,
which is second to none, Andrew is focussed squarely on making sure people are
treated professionally. He is also confident his friendly approach generates plenty of
repeat business.
Andrew is a firm believer that the Charmhaven area represents the best value on the
Central Coast. After working in the Gosford property market for a few years, Andrew
moved north and pleasantly discovered prices for brand new or near new properties
represented excellent value.
A Toukley resident, Andrew is firmly committed to the community and he supports a
collection of local groups. Raine & Horne Charmhaven is the major and inaugural
sponsor of the Blue Haven Raiders rugby league club, where Andrew also
volunteers on the executive committee. This support provides funding for the club to
operate, as well as other initiatives such as a SunSafe marquee for youngsters
playing football. Andrew is also supporting the Central Coast Bears’ bid for a
National Rugby League licence in 2013.
Raine & Horne is also the major sponsor of San Remo Tidy Towns, and the
Woongarrah Wildcats soccer club and is a supporter of the Budgewoi Scouts, the
Blue Haven Public School and local churches. Andrew has also been involved in
fundraising initiatives for Multiple Sclerosis.
Qualified as a licensed real estate agent and auctioneer, Andrew is a member of the
Real Estate Institute of NSW, and the Raine & Horne Chairman’s club, which
recognises the leading property group’s very best real estate talent.
To underline Andrew’s reputation, he recently received a major award at the Raine &
Horne National Conference, where he secured a top four finish in the hotly contested
Top Salesperson – Number of Sales category. This is the second year in a row
Andrew has achieved a top four finish in this category, and represents a stunning
rise from his 38th placing in the same awards in 2005.
