New Raine & Horne Kingsford/Kensington team breaks records . . . and language barriers
Media release - 20 March, 2017
Sydney, NSW (17 March 2017) Raine & Horne has continued its expansion in Sydney with the launch of a new office in Kingsford, in the city’s east.
“Sam, who worked for one of our inner Sydney offices in the mid-1980s, currently holds a number of street sales records in Kensington and Kingsford. I’m delighted he has joined us at a time when we are turbo-charging our expansion plans in Sydney,” said Angus Raine, Executive Chairman, Raine & Horne.
“In total we opened 28 offices in Australia in 2016, which makes us the fastest-growing real estate network. This is attracting experienced agents such as Sam and Andrew to our network,” said Mr Raine.
Mr Yong, who has worked in the property industry for over 20 years in Sydney and Malaysia, has expertise in real estate valuation and sales. He has worked with Mr Karatasas since 2011.
“Andrew is a highly sought after real estate professional. His impressive range of languages – including English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Malay, Hakka and Indonesian – give him a profound understanding of different groups within the Kensington and Kingsford communities,” said Mr Raine.
Mr Karatasas, who joined Raine & Horne after a long stint with another real estate group, said the longevity of the family-owned and operated real estate Superbrand was a major appeal. “Raine & Horne is an established name with a great reputation in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs,” said Mr Karatasas.
“I have been operating in the Kensington and Kingsford area for over 30 years, and joining Raine & Horne gave my existing vendors, landlords and buyers the peace of mind that they would be collaborating with a reliable brand,” said Mr Karatasas.
“My clients have been delighted with the move. Indeed, it’s delivered improvements to my business.
“The new branding of Raine & Horne was a major attraction and they are always on hand to help new franchisees.”
Real estate sales in Kensington and Kingsford continue to set records and the rental market is also very strong, according to Mr Karatasas.
“For the first time in many years, we have close to zero vacancy rates, which, when combined with gross rental yields of 4%, are increasing the popularity of Kensington and Kingsford with investors,” said Mr Karatasas.
