David Hill, who joined Raine & Horne Crows Nest in 2002, is the holder of many price records in the area and has been consistently ranked as one of the top 10 sales agents in the Raine & Horne network. Setting him apart from other agents on the Lower North Shore are his impressive negotiation skills, which he honed during almost a decade working in the finance industry.
After graduating from Sydney University with a Bachelor of Economics, David was a trader on the floor of the Sydney Futures Exchange from 1993 to 2002. Because he is passionate about working with people, he left the futures market when the trading floor was closed and traders became deskbound. Real estate sales was a natural career progression, because it gives David the opportunity to build genuine relationships and give clients a truly personable experience during the sale of their property.
“My philosophy is that the real estate industry is not about property, it’s about people,” says David. “Too many agents forget that for most vendors, selling property can be stressful because it’s not something they do every day.” David believes it is his job—and the job of those he leads at Raine & Horne Crows Nest—to take as much of the stress out of the process as possible. He does this by vowing to listen more and maintain greater communication with vendors. His attention to detail and commitment to the highest ethical standards also give vendors great peace of mind.
A resident of Wollstonecraft, David has always lived on the Lower North Shore and knows the area like the back of his hand, which gives him a distinct advantage when selling property. “For any property, I know all the nearby parks, how many minutes it is to the train station, where the closest café is, where the closest schools are,” says David.
Consistently achieving block and street records has been the key to her success. Maximising the unequaled database of current buyers, engaging quality, proven marketing strategies and superior local knowledge has resulted in higher prices for his vendors.
A recognised sales leader on the Lower North Shore, his success rate, along with his sales partner Heidi Brown, averages 95%. The two, who have been working together since 2004, achieve between 70 and 80 sales each year, and by early 2015 had achieved almost $600 million worth of sales.

In 2012, 2013 and 2014 David won the coveted Raine & Horne Chairman’s Club Salesperson Award, and he was also a member of the club in 2010 and 2011. Membership of the prestigious club is restricted to the top 1% of the 2000 salespeople in the Raine & Horne national network. David has consistently been one of the top performers of the Raine & Horne network both at State and National Levels.
