Darwin

Alawa/Nakara/Casuarina
Alawa, Nakara and Casuarina are established suburbs featuring a mix of residential and commercial properties. There are a number of schools in the area including Charles Darwin University, and of course Casuarina Square, Darwin's major shopping centre.

Anula
Anula is home to many couples with children, and features a school and a public park. It borders the Marrara Sports Complex and the Darwin Golf Course.

Coconut Grove
The coastal suburb of Coconut Grove is home to a small industrial area as well as a range of residential properties, many occupied by young professionals. New housing has been added in recent years, increasing the population of the area as well as the range of housing options.

Darwin City
Darwin City is the vibrant hub of the Top End, home to the CBD, residential housing, public parks, Darwin Harbour and the Wharf Precinct. Features of the area include the Smith Street Mall, nightlife on Mitchell Street, the leafy Esplanade with gorgeous ocean views, and numerous government buildings including Parliament House, Government House and the Supreme Court.

Fannie Bay
The highly popular suburb of Fannie Bay is well established, featuring an enviable foreshore setting and easy access to East Point Reserve, with parks covering nearly 36% of the area. It is also home to the Fannie Bay Racecourse, as well as the historical Fannie Bay Gaol, the Military Museum and the local Sailing Club.

Karama
Karama is home to several schools and the Karama Shopping Plaza. It is a youthful area, with a young median age among household dwellers.

Larrakeyah/Cullen Bay/The Gardens
Primarily home to young professionals, Larrakeyah is just a step away from the hustle and bustle of the CBD. The area includes prestigious Cullen Bay, well known for it's waterfront restaurants and home to some of Darwin's finest residences, a number of which feature water frontage and private boat slips. The aptly named suburb of The Gardens began development in the late 1960's, and surrounds Darwin's lush Botanic Gardens.

Leanyer/Woodleigh Gardens
Home to several schools and a shopping centre, up-and-coming Leanyer and the prominent suburb of Woodleigh Gardens are popular areas for young families. Leanyer Waterpark (Leanyer Lake) is in the area, as well as a park, and the pristine beach of Lee Point is just a short drive away.

Ludmilla/The Narrows
Just a few minutes drive to the CBD, Ludmilla and The Narrows are active suburbs home to several schools, the International Airport, RAAF Base and RAAF Golf Course.

Malak/Marrara/Northlakes
The inland areas of Malak and Marrara are home to youthful populations and feature a number of schools and the Marrara Sports Complex. Marrara includes extensive parklands that cover nearly 79% of the total suburb area. The fairly new suburb of Northlakes is popular with golfers, with easy access to the fairway at the Darwin Golf Course.

Millner
A well established residential area, Millner's residents tend to be couples with children. There are a wide range of property types in the suburb, which features a park, a primary school, and a handy shopping centre.

Moil/Jingili
Neatly tucked inland, Moil and Jingili are conveniently situated in a central location. They are home to several schools including Casuarina Senior College, as well as a number of parks, the most prominent of which is the Jingili Water Gardens.

Nightcliff
Nightcliff is a popular and prominent residential area, featuring a stunning foreshore setting, weekly markets, a Sporting Complex and the Nightcliff Swimming Pool. The desirable suburb also has the convenience of a number of shops and a fun centre that houses 10-pin bowling, mini-golf and billiards.

Parap/Woolner/Bayview
Parap is a highly popular and well established suburb, featuring four parks and a primary school, and is well known among locals for its weekly markets. Bayview is an intimate area featuring exclusive waterfront properties, while Woolner is an upscale inland suburb popular among young professionals.

Rapid Creek
Developed quickly after the Nightcliff area, Rapid Creek was named after the stream flowing through the area. It is a well established suburb featuring a lovely meandering foreshore and three popular schools, as well as weekly markets.

Stuart Park
Stuart Park is primarily home to young singles, and has had a significant population growth in recent years as a result of a number of new housing developments in the area. There is a school and two parks in the suburb, but the primary attraction is the fantastic location between the Botanic Gardens and the CBD.

Tiwi/Brinkin
A popular area for young families, Tiwi is situated at the northernmost part of Darwin, located near walking tracks and the Royal Darwin Hospital. The exclusive suburb of Brinkin features the peaceful Casuarina Coastal Reserve and Charles Darwin University and is also adjacent to Casuarina Square Shopping Centre.

Wagaman/Wanguri
Established inland suburbs, Wagaman and Wanguri are centrally located among the Northern Suburbs. They are popular among young families, with several schools, a selection of parks, and a convenient location near Casuarina Square Shopping Centre.

Winnellie
A commercial/industrial area, Winnellie is set inland off the Stuart Highway, near the industrial and military districts of Berrimah and Coonawarra. The Darwin Showground is in the area, as is the CSIRO Tropical Ecosystems Research Centre.

Wulagi
Developed after Cyclone Tracy struck in 1974, Wulagi is primarily home to young families. Wulagi is handily located near several shopping centres and a number of schools.
