Mosman’s State of the Environment (SOE) Report Scorecard for 2014-15 is now available online. The SOE uses criteria set by the NSW Government to provide a snapshot of the condition of Mosman’s environment, pressures impacting on the environment and the Council’s response to these pressures. There are a number of successes highlighted in this report:

• 5% decrease in Council’s electricity usage
• 6% decrease in the amount of greenhouse gas emissions from Council energy usage
• 10% increase in number of passenger trips made on the Mosman Rider and 28% increase of car share membership, both signifying an increase in sustainable transport methods
• Discovery of a new threatened fauna species
• Completion of the Art Gallery Lighting Retrofit
• Slight increase in Bushcare Volunteers and Groups
