Raine & Horne

RIGHT AT THE HEART OF TOWN

Our visible presence in the main street

Welcome to the South Burnett Region.  You are 2 hours drive from Brisbane's northern suburbs.  Far enough away from the mad rat race, but close enough to visit the city relations or your medical specialists.  The region is tipped to become Brisbane's "Hunter Valley" with an ever expanding wine industry.

The town of Nanango is the 4th oldest town in Queensland, having been established in the gold rush era.  The seven mile diggings are still visited regularly by amateur prospectors panning for gold.  The town sports several historic buildings with major functions being catered for at the famous Ringsfield House.  The town is also noted for it's monthly markets, held each first Saturday of the month.  These markets draw hundreds and hundreds of people from all over Queensland.  Many of the stalls at Eumundi Markets are also regulars at the Nanango Markets.

Employment prospects can be obtained from the Tarong Power Station or the adjoining mine.  Industry is expanding at a healthy pace in Kingaroy, just 15 minutes drive up the road.  The town boasts a regional hospital, an aged care facility, 3 schools, a Foodworks supermarket, 5 or 6 doctors, 2 chemists, 2 veterinarians, a solicitor, an optometrist, and all the other general stores and services you would expect in a country town.

Raine & Horne Nanango are convenient located at the main crossroads where the D'Aguilar Highway meets the Burnett Highway.  Park your car there and look around.  You will see our well branded office in a moment.  For those who have travelled, there are the conveniences of public toilet, bakery, and fuel all within 30 metres of our offices.
