Craigieburn is a suburb of Melbourne, 26km north of the CBD, in the City of Hume. The suburb continues to grow, making its way further north with ongoing residential and commercial development.

Most of the area is more than 200m above sea level (with Mount Ridley being the northernmost hill in north-western metropolitan Melbourne), giving it clear views of Melbourne's CBD.

Craigieburn Shopping Plaza is on Craigieburn Road West. On Mareeba Way is a pharmacy, doctor surgery, cafe, bakery, general store and other fast food outlets. There is also a youth centre behind the library.

Craigieburn is served by public and private hospitals in nearby Epping, Bundoora, Reservoir and Essendon West.

Local schools include Craigieburn Secondary College, Craigieburn Primary School, Craigieburn South Primary, Hume Anglican Grammar and Our Lady's Primary.

There is a comprehensive range of sporting clubs recreational pursuits including AFL, golf, tennis, bowls, hiking and bike trails, and a leisure centre offering a heated indoor pool, spa and sauna, gym, basketball/netball courts and squash.

The suburb is served by rail and bus.
