Castle Hill is a suburb within The Hills Shire local government area in New South Wales, Australia. It is approximately 31 kilometres north-west of Sydney.
Castle Towers is the local shopping centre which features department stores and also a cinema multiplex. The suburb also hosts a library and a community centre.
The area is served by buses. The New South Wales state government has proposed an $8.3 billion project called the North West Rail Link which will be open by the end of 2019. The project will establish railway stations at Cherrybrook, Castle Hill, Showground, Norwest, Bella Vista, Kellyville, Rouse Hill and Cudgegong Road.
Schools in the area include Gilroy Catholic College, William Clarke College, Oakhill College, St. Bernadette’s, Castle Hill High School, Castle Hill Public School, Excelsior Public School, Samuel Gilbert Public School, St Angela’s, Oakhill Drive Public School, Castle Hill House and Hills Adventist College.
The suburb is served by Westmead Hospital, with more hospitals in nearby suburbs.
