Woodend Winter Arts Festival

11-14 June 2010

This is the sixth Woodend Winter Arts Festival and a staggering 39 events will be held over the Queen’s Birthday weekend. This year we are celebrating significant anniversaries of great composers as well as the works of contemporary artists. There are opportunities to reflect on the world or to be immersed in the beauty, charm and wisdom of old, great art.

Kyneton Daffodil and Arts Festival

2-12 September 2010

A carnival atmosphere greets visitors to Kyneton when the Daffodil & Arts Festival celebrates spring with daffodils and entertainment.

With the famous Golden Mile of daffodils at the entry to the town, the streets of Kyneton are decorated with barrows of daffodils. Decorated shop windows add to the festivities. Notable gardens open during the Festival.

The Daffodil Art Prize opens the Festival on September 2nd and adds to other art and photography exhibitions throughout the town.

Ferret Racing, town-wide sidewalk sale and buskers provide fun on the first Saturday of the festival providing great shopping throughout the town. A visit to Piper Street is a must.

Visitors return to enjoy traditional favourites - the Festival of One Act Plays, Spring Flower Show and Kyneton Antique Fair. A great midweek community concert with well known artists and other musical events entertain the visitors and the community.

Other activities include the Old Time Ball, Paramoor Fayre, Art and Craft Show and Kyneton Farmers and CWA Craft Markets, along with a Fun Run and a cycle challenge, and for horseracing enthusiasts there is a meeting at Kyneton Race Course featuring the Daffodil & Arts Handicap.

The Festival winds up with the Grand Parade and Street Fair on Sunday 12th September.

Kyneton Antique Fair 2010

3 - 5 September 2010

Kyneton Town Hall (Mollison Street) will again be filled to capacity with antiques and collectables for this our 14th Annual Fair held at this time of the year.  Light lunches and snacks provided by Kyneton District Tennis Club.

Entry fee $5.00 per adult, children free when accompanied by an adult.

Friday 3rd September 5pm - 8pm

Saturday 4th September 10am - 5pm

Sunday 5th September 10am - 4pm

All proceeds raised by Friends of the Kyneton Museum are used to assist in conserving and maintaining the collection at the Museum.
