Charity Auction for Tweed Hospital - $6261.35 raised

The Raine & Horne team held a charity auction on Saturday 26th June 2010, at Recreation Park, Tweed Heads, where we raised an amazing $6261.35. This money raised will go to the Tweed Hospital Auxiliary for much needed Electrocardiogram machines that cost $10,000 each.

Lots of fun was had by all who attended, with most taking part in our goods and services auction, where a total 36 terrific items were sold under the hammer of our effervescent auctioneer, Anthony Davis.  We also tendered off another 23 items, through silent bidding taking the total number of goods and services sold on the day to 59!

A very special and heartfelt thanks goes to Mr Allan Brodhurst Hill who donated $3000 towards the total we raised.  Your support was not only very generous, but also much appreciated.

The kids had a day of fun on the ‘Jumpin Time’ jumping castle, and everyone enjoyed the BBQ with sausages and rissoles donated by local butchers, Cromptons Butchery and Master Meats and of course a sausage sizzle is not complete without the bread, which was kindly donated by Tweed Bakehouse.

We would like to take this opportunity to say a HUGE thank you to all of our sponsors for being so generous with your donations and for supporting us in our first community fundraising venture.
