HOW MUCH “SPRING” IS IN THE SPRING MARKET?

If we can believe the media hype coming out of Sydney, then one would have to believe that the market is trending upwards, and buyers buoyed by more positive sentiment are entering the market.

To back up the sentiment, Tim Lawless from CoreLogic reports that the recovery in housing values accelerated in August 2019 with national dwelling values increasing by 0.8% over the month.  The significant lift in values over the month aligns with a consistent increase in Auction clearance rates and a deeper pool of buyers at a time when the volume of stock advertised for sale remains low.

All factors indicate that buyer demand and confidence is responding to the positive effect of a stable federal government, as well as lower interest rates, tax cuts and subtle easing in credit policy.

All of these factors bode well for a buoyant Spring market.  It’s time to put the ”spring” back into Spring, and remember every new beginning comes from some other beginnings end!
