Anthropology - Speciality Coffee & Concept Shop -Best lattes in Pascoe Vale

We discovered Anthropology on one of our morning UberEats scrolls. After craving something a little different from the usual long black, a Golden Tumeric Latte with Coconut Mylk caught our eye as did a little vegan dessert called a Snickerella. When the little brown bag arrived we were in heaven with the flavours we tasted.

At Anthropology you instantly feel good. Firstly because of their staff, everyone is so genuinely friendly-expect to be greeted by a warm smile. And secondly, it’s bright, Scandinavian inspired interior…we’ll let the photos do the talking here.

When it comes to the drink & food, they set the bar so high that most first-timers are instantly converted to regulars if they live locally.

They use Clark St Wallflower Espresso Blend for all their coffee & they don’t just buy any kind of milk. “A large majority of people are milk coffee drinkers and make their judgments on how good the coffee is based on their drink. What they don't realise is that coffee only makes up around 20% of the total volume in a cup. The rest of it is milk and this is why we use only the best!” And you might be wondering, what’s the best? Well it’s Schulz organic milk of course– the creamiest most delicious milk you’ve ever tasted (you can also purchase this milk from them too) For those that don’t drink milk they’ve also got coconut, bonsoy & house made nut mylks (almond, cashew or hazelnut).

For their hot choccies, none of that fake chocolate syrup– instead they use Melbourne made MORK chocolate…(if you haven’t heard of these guys, then do your cacao loving self a favour & check them out too)

Now more on those “lattes” we’re obsessed with – flavours like Beetroot ‘Red Velvet’, Matcha & White Chocolate are on all offer. (and if you wished you could take these home, you can, they sell all their magical tasting blends)

They also make some pretty outstanding smoothies & cold pressed juices too. Consider your thirst quenched.

Now to the feed. Their menu is diverse and creative. All whilst catering to vegans & those with dairy /gluten free requirements too. However, there’s one particularly special dish that has everyone coming back again and again…Cripsy Chicken Waffles with maple syrup and coconut chive sauce…sounds a little strange right? But we’re here to tell you it’s one of those flavour pairings that works despite it sounding like it wouldn’t. Check out the rest of their menu HERE

The last thing that makes this a special place is they display articulately designed products and artworks crafted by local creatives. You can admire these or even purchase them too.

Here’s what their regulars are saying…

“Truly as good as it gets. Lovely environment, the kindest most attentive staff, and INCREDIBLE quality food & coffee. I was living right around the corner for a few weeks, and I wish I could go here every day.”

“Our meals were exceptionally delectable. The fried crispy chicken waffle is to die for. So much flavour in every mouthful.”

“Finally a go-to with healthy DELICIOUS food and coffee that hits the spot. Anthropology Cafe you officially have a regular! Looking forward to my next brekky/lunch with you!”

“What a special addition to the North. My new local.”

“The menu is out of this world amazing! Flavours, textures, presentation all hit a 5-star rating from me.”
