HOME IS WHERE…

A window into the life of Melbourne creative Krystal Giardina of @houseofharvee during Stage 4 Lockdown.  

What does your new 'normal' look like? Can you give us a glimpse into how your days begin and end during ISO with your kids too? 

I make a point to get up, shower and get dressed everyday. So that way I don't laze the day away on the couch! The girls and I do home school, then we go for a walk, or we dance! 

 

What does 'ISO you time' look like?

I love getting in some walking or dancing at least once a day. I love going for walks alone and that way I get to walk, sing and dance. I also love a good sheet face mask, i try to do one of those once a week! 

 

Now more than ever, Melbournian’s have begun to turn their attention towards styling their homes & really creating a sanctuary. You style the most gorgeous interior spaces, what are some of your fave online stores/home décor brands at the moment?   

Yes, it's the perfect time to really look at your space and declutter or add beautiful pieces that make you feel amazing. Globewest, House of Orange, Adairs, Warranbrooke

 

What room is the heart of your home & why?

The kitchen/lounge is definitely the heart. It gets the most light during the day and it's just beautiful and spacious so we spend lots of time there.

 

When you look back at this period in 10 years from now, what do you hope you’ll remember? /Any lessons you’ve taken away from this period?

Lots of quality time with the family and having the girls home with their baby brother, to watch him grow up!

 

What was the last thing that made you literally laugh aloud?

Schitts Creek! Oh my, I was in fits of laughter watching that series. 

 

On the harder days, what do you tell yourself to help you through?  

That we are lucky to have a beautiful home to be stuck in, and that myself and my family are happy and healthy.. 

 

Who do you most want to hug post ISO? 

My sister, she is living in Sydney and her past 2 trips down to visit were canceled so its been too long!
