HOME.ONE -BRUNSWICKS NEWEST NON PROFIT EATERY!

6 Florence Street,  Brunswick - another one of our beautiful suburbs unsuspecting backstreets that is home to a rich story & a unique community who live, work & play there. It’s here, right behind Anstey Station that you’ll discover a new brekkie, brunch and lunch spot called, Home.one.

Uniquely situated on the bottom floor of the sustainable apartments, Nightingale (if you haven’t yet heard about them, you MUST check it out HERE) they serve up mouth-watering oat bowls and bagels…

Some menu stand-outs (all their brekkies are free of refined sugar & can be made vegan on request too!):

  1. Haloumi, hummus, beetroot and dukkah-filled bagels.
  2. Oats soaked in coffee overnight mixed in with cacao, banana, roasted peanut butter and buckwheat granola.
  3. Turkish-delight bircher, rose/strawberry compote, toasted coconut, pistachios, apple and greek yoghurt.
  4. Amazing coffee is sourced from local roaster, Wood & Co

But even though the food is delicious, there’s something far more special about Home.one....

Before we get into that, did you know that 1 in 8 Australian children go to school hungry every day? And we have 44,000 young people who are currently experiencing homelessness?

These were two major issues close to Home.one’s heart & the whole motivation behind their non-profit business model….

All profits they make go towards raising crucial funds to Eat Up Australia (a volunteer run organisation who deliver lunches to thousands of children every-day around Victoria) and Launch Housing (an organisation that supports homeless youth).

Places like this make Brunswick such a special place to call home…It’s so rare to find a business that is truly dedicated to making a real difference.  If you’re a Northsider too, then why not contribute by ordering yourself a coffee & a bite to eat for a cause that isn’t just worthy, but needs all of our attention.  For more information visit their InstagramWebsite
