FREE FUN @ JOE BRADFIELD PARK - EXPERIENCE 4152 SUBURBS WITH DEANNA

FREE FUN AT JOE BRADFIELD PARK, CARINA

Welcome Back!

As promised in my earlier blog I am sharing my adventures within the 4152 postcode, so here we go ....

Free fitness fun with a great spot to rest and relax, the Joe Bradfield Centre is ideally located in Carina on Mayfield Road, just off Old Cleveland Road.

The beautiful grassy area presents the perfect spot to lay down your picnic blanket and soak up the sun or set up camp under one of the many shady Australian native trees dotted around the park. There are two full-sized tennis courts, a netball court, basketball court and 2 cricket cages to provide hours of sporting fun. The kids will love the swings & slide, and there is even a fenced learn to ride bike track for the toddlers. With a drinking fountain and toilet block on site you have everything you need for a complete day out.

As our office is only a short stroll from this great park a colleague and I decided to take advantage of the gorgeous spring weather and the longer daylight hours and donned our active gear. We enjoyed a friendly game of tennis, a handball challenge, a bit of competitive one on one basketball and brushed up on our cricket skills.

Not only was it great fun but it was great to increase the old heart rate to work on our physical fitness and the best part is it didn’t cost us a cent.

Exhausted from our burst of energy and both being avid readers we ventured next door to the Carina Library after our workout and checked out a book, spread the picnic blanket and enjoyed some R&R.

I highly recommend this park to couples, groups of friends and families for some good old fashioned fun which can last for as little or as long as you like and it doesn’t even touch the back pocket.
