Super brand celebrates first anniversary in New Zealand with unprecedented growth

April 14, 2024

In April 2023, Raine & Horne embarked on a strategic journey, signalling its commitment to expansion and excellence by venturing into the New Zealand real estate market. This decisive move was swiftly followed by the establishing of its first three offices by June 2023[i]

The brand’s momentum didn’t stop there. It rapidly expanded to encompass 13 locations across New Zealand, strategically positioning itself to serve diverse communities.

In a groundbreaking move in late 2023[ii], Raine & Horne announced the acquisition of the Mike Pero Real Estate network, comprising corporate headquarters and 55 Principals and offices, solidifying the brand’s foothold in the New Zealand real estate landscape.

“There has been a significant appetite in New Zealand for a large real estate brand with the heritage, technology, and support that we offer,” commented Mr Angus Raine, Executive Chairman of Raine & Horne

“One year on, we are proud to have grown our network to 70 offices in New Zealand, with our rapid expansion still well and truly underway.”

Mr Raine also highlighted that the similarities between the real estate markets in New Zealand and Australia, along with close ties between the two countries, were instrumental in the firm’s aggressive expansion into the New Zealand market.

“There’s a notable alignment in our agency practices, paving the way for our continued successful expansion.”

Mr Raine emphasised, “As leaders in real estate franchising, we take pride in offering unparalleled support to our offices. Our unique value proposition, a trusted brand with a growing global presence and a cutting-edge technology ecosystem, positions us favourably.”

Empowering success through cutting-edge technology

An integral part of this success story is the adoption of the super brand’s exclusive and cutting-edge technology.

Several offices in the Bay of Plenty and Hauraki region, under the leadership of principals Neville Ruske and Paul Billinghurst of the Raine & Horne NRG Group[iii], have integrated Raine & Horne’s AI-powered social media marketing platform, Amplify, into their operations. This move has unified the marketing efforts of Raine & Horne NRG Group’s offices spanning Tauranga, Mount Maunganui, Katikati, Waihi, and Waihi Beach under the esteemed Raine & Horne brand.

Mr Billinghurst says his offices have consistently executed property and lead generation campaigns through Raine & Horne’s social media marketing platform Amplify, achieving remarkable results and garnering positive customer feedback.

“It’s a great piece of technology. Since joining Raine & Horne in August 2023, we’ve run 85 campaigns exposed to 573,759 groups. I’m getting great feedback from both the team and customers about our social media presence and how much the Raine & Horne brand is an upgrade,” Mr Billinghurst said regarding Amplify.

According to Mr Raine, this industry-leading AI marketing technology, along with interactive digital platform ‘DigiKitPlus’, allows Raine & Horne agents to seamless boost their online profile and stay ahead of their competitors.

“We have always been big innovators in the Proptech space, with our game-changing AI and social media marketing technology Amplify proving popular among our offices and their clients, while our appraisal platform, DigiKitPlus, is attracting an influx of new offices into our network,” affirms Mr Raine.
