Can I still get my property appraised?

Most definitely!

At present, we can visit your property to do this in person, or we can conduct your appraisal virtually using Facetime and video walk-throughs. Your experienced Raine & Horne agent will evaluate:

• Relevant market information
• Market trends
• Similar properties currently on the market, as well as comparable properties that have recently sold.

Your local agent will then summarise their results and provide them to you in a digital appraisal. Can buyers still inspect property?

Yes!

Government legislations have currently meant that we need to put a pause on the standard open home days; however, we have always and will continue to run private inspections. Appointment-only inspections can also be beneficial for your sale as generally those who take the time to book a private viewing are quite serious about making a purchase.

To prevent the spread and exposure, we have implemented the following practices:
• Private inspections and appointments only
• A person meeting limit. The number of people varies from state to state
• All agents, suppliers and visitors are required to complete a simple screening questionnaire
• Limiting personal contact. We’re not shaking hands, but we still want to say hello!
• Providing/requiring hand sanitisation before entering properties
• Requiring prospective purchasers not to touch anything when visiting a property
• Thorough cleaning of all door handles with disinfectant wipes before and after entering

How do virtual tours and digital inspections work?

Virtual tours and digital inspections are something that Raine & Horne have offered for many years now. We run open home inspections through social media streaming technology like Facebook Live to show properties and engage with prospective buyers in real-time.

How do online auctions work?

We operate our online auctions just as we would for a public auction. All interested parties receive a link and detailed instructions on how to register to bid ahead of time. As the auction begins, prospective buyers can log in to bid and watch via video link. They can then place bids as they would if they were there in person. For those who aren’t tech-savvy or are not able to get online, we also offer a telephone bidding option.

If I don’t want to sell at auction, what are my other options?
