BBC broadcast doco on dwarf minke whales
More good news for the Douglas and Cairns regions will follow after the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) screens ist documentary 'The Great Barrier Reef' next year. The show will go out to tv channels all over the world showing the little known dwarf minke whale which can be found off the coast of Port Douglas at certain times of the year. Segments of the show will be shown on Channel Seven. John Rumney, who pioneered the swimming with minkes program said, 'once the BBC documentary comes out, the whole world will know what we have.'
