Daintree primary school saved from the axe
Daintree village community is joyous after hearing that its primary school has been saved from the axe.
The State school had been threatened with closure due to its small student role - 14 students - but received news this week that the school would remain open.
The small community of about 150 people was brought closer together to fight for their school, and can now promote the area to families because of the school facility.
