New all abilities playground for Mossman

An upgrade to Mossman's George Davis Park will see improved playing facilities for all children in Mossman.  The Bubu Kinkari park (aka George Davis Park) will undergo a transformation over the next three months into a State-Governament sponsored all abilities playground.  The pugraded playground, to incorporate equipment for children with special physical needs, will cost almost $500,000.

Alngside traditional play equipent such as swings and a flying fox will be facilities designed to be used by children of all abilities, such as a bamboo maze with musical instruments and a wheelchair-friendly carousel.  The playground will also contain a sand and water play area complete with a waterfall, and the picnic facilities will be upgraded and expanded.

The entire playground will be covered with a shade sail.
