Warren Entsch takes on Jim Turnour in elections

Warren Entsch, LIberal National Party candidat launched an election campaign this week to challenge incumbent Jim Turnour.  Entsch launched with a series of bold visionary statements while Turnour outlined his record to date.  Elections on the 21st August 2010 are expected to reveal a close run contest.  Entsch stated to the Port Douglas and Mossman Gazette that he would push for the much supported deamalgamisation of the former Douglas shire and for the area to be an 'organic shire.'  Turnour asked voters to look at his track record as proof of being the best choice for the area.  All eyes will be on Leichhardt on August 21st.
