A heritage of success
The Raine & Horne story is inextricably linked to the growth and progress of the real estate industry.
In 1883 Tom Raine and Joseph Mortimer Horne opened the doors of Raine & Horne for business in Wentworth Court, Elizabeth Sreet, Sydney.
From the beginning Raine & Horne adhered to a set of business practices that focused on the company's total commitment to personalised service and meeting a client's property needs across sales, leasing, management and consulting services, for all types of property.
At that time, the responsibilities of a land agent were all encompassing, everything from residential sales to valuation and rent collection. This broad background was the foundation on which Raine & Horne built its reputation and expertise.
Raine & Horne has experienced considerable growth over the years and this growth shows no signs of abating. The concept of the full service 'family' agencyy (four generations) married with the highest standards of ethical behaviour has contributed significantly to the strength of the Raine & Horne brand in the market place.
Today over 4,000 people work under the Raine & Horne banner in a network of hundreds of offices throughout New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, ACT, South Australia, Western Australia, Tasmania and the Northern Territory. Combine this with over 40 offices throughout the world and you have one of the strongest real estate networks nationally and internationally.
The Raine & Horne story is remarkable; the company has more than simply survived through periods of boom, recession and bust - it has flourished and continues to do so.
