PROPERTY WATER SUPPLY

Dam – Certainly large by Adelaide Hills standards – surveyed 2 years ago with a stated capacity of 11.5mg/l. The dam is equipped with an enclosed pump shed together with a sophisticated vineyard pumping / filtration system.

The large Siemens motor and Grundfos pump is rated at 30,000 litre / hour (6,700 to 7000 gallons per hour) through a 4 year (2016) self-flushing filtration system with an automated or manual arrangement out to the various vineyard blocks.

A new pump was placed down the hole approximately 2 years ago, it is quoted as 80 meters deep.

Grundfos SP30 rated at 30,000 litre per hour in the region of 6,700 to 7000 gallons per hour. Further irrigation flexibility is also available, extending the main line approximately 100 meters to pump into the dam, then pump out to that section of the vineyard (which currently receives water direct from the said bore).

The current vendors are unsure what is down the hole (original pump person deceased no record) However, a good producing hole, Walsh Drilling has provided the original well construction report – 99meters deep and 600-700ppm total salts in 1992, hole put down and rated at 16.75 litres / sec or approximately 15,000 gallons per hour. As you know, all bore holes are equipped to pump less. Not a strong flow at the moment, indicating possible air leak in casing and or pump output as well – however, there has been no urgency, as water on this title is, on balance, plentiful.
