6 INNER WEST DOG EXERCISE PARKS FOR YOUR FURRY FRIEND

Top Inner West Dog Exercise Parks For Pet Owners

Australia is one of the most pet-friendly countries in the world, with nearly 63 percent of households owning a pet. When you make your home in the Inner West, you’ll never have to travel too far to find a dog-friendly park. Take a look at some Inner West dog exercise parks for your furry friend’s much-needed outdoor time.

Federal Park, Annandale

Apart from its popularity for family outings, Federal Park is a great place for pet owners to bring their dogs in the Inner West. Pets can play off-leash at all times unless there is an event on the sports field. The grassed, open areas within the park offer the perfect opportunity for your four-legged friends to get some precious time in the great outdoors.

Hawthorne Canal Reserve, Leichhardt

Hawthorne Canal Reserve is an excellent place for pet owners to get their dogs to socialise with other pets in the area. A dedicated space within the park allows dogs to get some outdoor exercise without the need for a leash. But a leash is necessary for all other areas of the park. Café Bones, a dog-friendly café, is available at the reserve as well.

Camperdown Memorial Rest Park, Newtown

Camperdown Memorial Rest Park offers a designated area for off-leash dog exercise throughout the day on weekdays and between 5 pm and 9 am on weekends. Pets and dogs remain welcome in all other areas of the park, as long as pet owners have them on a leash. The park is an excellent location for pet owners to take their furry friends for a short walk or jog.

Petersham Park, Petersham

Petersham Park has a designated area on the southern side for leash-free dog training and exercise at all times of the day. Outside of this area, dogs are expected to remain on leash. On-site signage indicates off-leash, on-leash and prohibited areas for pets.

Enmore Park, Marrickville

A designated dog training and exercise area is available between Llewellyn Street and the two diagonal paths opposite. This area allows dogs to remain off leash at any time of the day. Any other place within the park requires a leash for all pets.
