$1 Million dollars up for grabs

THE 20 finalists in Tourism Queensland's Million Dollar Memo competition are in Port Douglas to battle it out for a $1 million travel reward.

The competition offers the chance for one company to put the money towards Queensland travel incentive experiences for its staff.

The winner will be announced at Port Douglas today after four days in the Far North during which contestants took in rafting adventures, hot air ballooning and crocodile tours.

Contestant Michelle Johnson, of Townsville-based property developer Lend Lease, said her company would spend the money in Far North and Northern Queensland if she won.

"Especially after cyclone Yasi, we want to put the money back where it is really needed," she said.
