History

In 1989 Leo Haarsma founded Haarmsa’s Real Estate operating from Cummins on the Lower Eyre Peninsula together with Rodney Atkinson. In 1992 Leo opened an office on Mortlock Terrace in conjunction with his Ag/Chem Business. A stand alone office situated at 91 Liverpool Street, Port LIncoln followed shortly after, and Leo and Rodney joined the Weston Properties Franchise Group. In the early days the staffing consisted of one administration support and Rodney.

In 1994 Steve Prout joined the Sales Team, and seeking to grow the Property Management sector of the business Gail Woods joined the team and in 1995 a new office was opened in Coffin Bay. By this time Rodney began operating full time between Cummins and Tumby Bay with Steve managing a Sales Team of three plus Property Management out of the Port Lincoln Branch.

Steve and Trish purchased Leo Haarsma’s share in the business and in 1998 the Westons franchise joined with Raine & Horne to form Weston Raine & Horne – part of a 40 office operation in South Australia and were subsequently awarded the Top Office in the Country in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003.

In 2000 we relocated to the current site at 4 Bishop Street Port Lincoln and in 2003 formally joined the Raine & Horne Group which at that time had 450 offices globally allowing the team to access state of the art training and the latest trends in the profession. Steve and Trish purchased the remaining shares in the business in 2008.

After 35 years in business the Raine & Horne Port Lincoln team has six qualified sales representatives, six qualified Property Managers and two front of house administration staff.

We specialise in residential, rural, commercial sales and property management throughout the Lower Eyre Peninsula, with offices in Port Lincoln, Coffin Bay and Cummins.
