Langhorne Creek General Store/Café is located approx. 78km from Adelaide between the Adelaide Hills & the Coorong. The town is on the banks of the Bremer River which flows into Lake Alexandrina and is traditionally a red wine growing district well known for production of outstanding Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. These two red wine grapes constitute approx. 70% of the total vineyard plantings (around 24 wineries) in the region. Not only known for its wines, Langhorne Creek is known for its fantastic bird watching at the Tolderole Game Reserve where tourist come from over the globe to seek out rare birds. The town is also extremely popular for weddings with numerous local venues.
The current owner purchased the business in July 2017 which was then trading as a general store. The business has evolved with it now becoming more of a café/takeaway with some grocery lines (80% of sales from the café/takeaway & 20% from grocery lines). The business trades short hours Monday to Friday 6:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. & Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. which is an attractive feature of this business for a purchaser to enjoy the relaxed lifestyle on offer.
