How is my investment property being kept COVID-safe during open for inspections?

September 7, 2020

If your property is vacant or tenanted and is being shown to potential renters through open for inspections, you can be rest assured we are keeping it COVID-safe.

Our leasing teams across Australia are putting in place a broad number of health and social distancing measures, as part of carefully prepared safety plans to guarantee your asset remains COVID-19 safe.

For starters, each property has a maximum number of people who can inspect your property – this number will vary from region to region and between houses and apartments. To cope with more significant group numbers, we are extending open times for popular homes so that more people can view them.

Also, we are maintaining the high standards outside your property, with lines of tenants waiting on the street or travelling to your property in elevators socially distanced. Meanwhile, more of our leasing teams are using virtual tours to minimise the numbers of groups attending in-person open homes.

The critical health measures include ensuring physical distancing of greater than 1.5m is maintained, while we are promoting excellent hygiene at open homes. This focus on hygiene consists of the provision of hand sanitisers, disinfectant wipes for cleaning hard surfaces and if required will even provide disposable gloves and masks. Our Property Managers are also keeping detailed contact records of people attending open homes and ensuring people with any symptoms of illness do not enter a property.

The level of protection will vary depending on the market and levels of restrictions, and your Raine & Horne Property Manager can provide further advice about how we are keeping your investment property and prospective tenants COVID-safe during open for inspections.
