- Raine & Horne boosts Victorian network with strategic Wheelers Hill office opening
Leading real estate super brand Raine & Horne is launching a new office in the Wheelers Hill region, marking a strategic move into one of Melbourne’s most sought-after and prestigious real estate markets.
Michael Sheikh a knowledgeable agent with nearly a decade of experience in the local Wheelers Hill & Glen Waverly market and a deep understanding of the eastern suburbs’ unique dynamics will lead the new office, Raine & Horne Waverly.
Formerly operating under a boutique independent banner, Mr Sheikh has aligned his business with Raine & Horne to capitalise on the super brand’s national reputation, cutting-edge technology, and strong support network.
“We’ve been looking to establish a presence in the Glen Waverley and Wheelers Hill area for some time,” said Randolph Clements, Managing Director of Raine & Horne Victoria.
“It’s a key growth corridor and home to some of Melbourne’s most desirable addresses. We needed the right person—and with Michael, we’ve found someone who’s respectful, ethical, and reliable. Every promise he’s made, he’s kept.”
Mr Sheikh said joining Raine & Horne was a natural next step for his business.
“Being a small boutique, it was just a little bit hard to get through the doors of vendors and tell them about the business and our services.
“Now we are associated with a well-established brand such as Raine & Horne adds a layer of trust that will help open these doors. People want to work with businesses who’ve been there for a very long time and a name that they can relate to.”
“Raine & Horne brings instant recognition, trust, and a track record of over 140 years in Australian real estate,” Mr Sheikh said.
“Randolph and the team took the time to show me how the group operates—from board meetings to sales training and awards nights—and I knew it was the right fit.”
Mr Sheikh has already explored Raine & Horne’s industry-leading tech offerings, including Amplify, the first-to-market AI-powered social media marketing platform, and DigiKitPlus, its digital proposals tool.
“I’ve had some exposure to their systems such as CRM tool CompassPlus and property data platforms. Some I’ve used before, others I’m excited to learn more about under the Raine & Horne umbrella,” he said.
“What we’ve seen so far, we’ve liked—and I’m looking forward to leveraging these tools to grow our business.”
Beyond technology, Mr Sheikh said the brand’s rich heritage was another key drawcard.
“Raine & Horne has an incredible history. I recently watched a video of Executive Chairman Angus Raine talking about the brand’s legacy—and it really reinforced the value of being part of a trusted, long-standing Australian real estate brand. I’ve followed many of Raine & Horne’s top-performing agents over the years and admired their work.”
As for market dynamics, Mr Sheikh says the Glen Waverley region is driven by a balanced mix of investors, owner-occupiers, and first-home buyers—many attracted by the area’s top-tier schools.
“The local school zones are a huge drawcard—Glen Waverley Secondary College, Brentwood Secondary Collage, Mount View Primary and Caulfield Grammar. Properties within these catchments are tightly held and sell quickly,” he explained.
“The median house price is around $1.66 million for Glen Waverley and $1.40 million for Wheelers Hill and apartments are averaging close to $948,000. Depending on where the property is located, rental yields range between 5% and 5.5%, making the area attractive to investors as well.”
Raine & Horne Waverley will service the broader City of Monash, covering high-demand suburbs such as Wheelers Hill, Glen Waverley, Mount Waverley, Clayton, Chadstone, Oakleigh, Mulgrave, and beyond.
Looking ahead, Mr Sheikh plans to grow the team with local sales specialists and build a strong property management division.
“With the Raine & Horne platform behind us—including advanced tools like Amplify and DigiKitPlus—we’re well positioned to scale quickly, deliver exceptional service, and build a substantial rent roll,” he said.
“We’ll be recruiting carefully, focusing on agents who know their patch intimately and can help grow the business.”
