SPRING HAS SPRUNG 

The definition of spring is "the season of the year between winter and summer lasting from September to December south of the equator". Spring is when the days are getting longer and the weather is getting warmer.

Also, with school holidays a week away here's a checklist of fun spring activities that you can cross off your to-do-list or simply savour this beautiful time of year. 

  • Sow some seeds
  • Have a picnic 
  • Seek out some spring wild flowers 
  • Go for a run
  • Take a hike 
  • Ride a bike
  • Enjoy the spring weather at one of our many coffee shops 
  • Play a round of golf 
  • Fly a kite
  • Look for a four-leaf clover
  • Jump in puddles
  • Get dirt under your fingernails
  • Blow bubbles
  • Climb a tree
  • Swing on the swings
  • Feed the ducks 
  • Go for a swim
  • Draw pictures on the footpaths 
  • Skip stones across a pond/dam
  • Plan a trip to the beach
  • Eat some seasonal berries
  • Listen to the rain
  • Watch the bees at work in the garden 
  • Notice the tree budding
  • Seek out a rainbow

  • Listen to the birds singing

  • Leave your windows open to catch a spring breeze
  • Wear open toed shoes

  • Go kayaking, canoeing or paddle boarding

  • Cloud gaze and find shapes with your imagination
