The large Brisbane suburb of Rocklea is located 12km south of the CBD. Rocklea is mostly industrial and home to many large firms from several industries (mainly transport). It is located at one end of the Ipswich Motorway and has a train station on the Beenleigh line.

Rocklea is host to the Brisbane Markets, is known for its flowers, fresh fruit and fresh vegetables. Brisbane's oldest harness-racing track is located at the Rocklea Showgrounds.

Schools in Rocklea are limited but there are many in nearby suburbs. Major hospitals are nearby.

Rocklea had a population of about 1500 at the 2006 census.
