Glenroy is a suburb of Melbourne, 13km north of the CBD, in the local government area of the City of Moreland. At the 2006 census, Glenroy had a population of almost 18,900.
Glenroy is one of the north-western suburbs in the City of Moreland. The rich ethnic mix of the Moreland community is reflected in the multicultural flavour and spirit of annual, council-sponsored festivals which include the Sydney Road Street Party and the Brunswick Music Festival.
Glenroy’s prominent features include the private Northern Golf Club, a major retail district centred around the Glenroy railway station, and the Northern Memorial Park extension to Fawkner General Cemetery.

Glenroy railway station, on the Craigieburn railway line, provides transport to Melbourne’s CBD. Buses operate towards Eltham and Merlynston. The Moonee Ponds Creek Trail and the Western Ring Road Path provide facilities for recreational and commuting cyclists.
