Raine & Horne partner Rural Aid makes its mark in the big smoke

April 22, 2024

Raine & Horne Foundation partner Rural Aid has taken its support for farmers and the rural communities in need to Sydney’s iconic Harbour Bridge as part of recent Australia Day celebrations.

Rural Aid supports farmers affected by natural disasters such as drought, bushfires, and floods.

While the charity acknowledges its limitations, it proudly declares, ‘we may not be able to make a cow jump over the moon, but we can certainly drive a hay truck over the Harbour Bridge!’ This unique approach to supporting farmers and rural communities is what sets Rural Aid apart.

The hay truck spent the day in Sydney as a critical talking point for attendees of the Australia Day celebrations. After that, the truck was driven to NSW’s Central West, providing much-needed fodder support for farmers.

Travis Wentriro, Regional & Rural Network Manager, Raine & Horne Group, said, “The Harbour Bridge crossing was an excellent way for Rural Aid to bring its messages of support for rural communities to the city.

“The partnership between Rural Aid and the Raine & Horne Foundation will help fortify Australia's agricultural sector's resilience and long-term sustainability.” Over the past five years, Rural Aid has raised and distributed over $100 million to more than 18,000 farmers.

According to Travis, Raine & Horne, tracing its origins to 1883, has evolved Raine & Horne Rural into one of Australia’s fastest-growing rural real estate brands, catering to diverse agricultural and rural regions across New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia, and the Northern Territory.

Travis added that supporting a community cause such as Rural Aid aligns with Raine & Horne Rural’s values and commitment to the rural community.

“As rural property specialists, Raine & Horne Rural understands the challenges rural communities face, especially during hardship such as droughts, floods, or other natural disasters.

“By supporting Rural Aid, Raine & Horne Rural through our foundation can directly contribute to helping farmers and rural communities in need, which benefits those in need and strengthens our group’s connection to the rural communities we serve.”
