I am living in my 3rd rental property with Raine and Horne Blackwood and have experienced wonderful service throughout that time. My current property manager Wendy Clothier provides a friendly, professional and flexible service. As a tenant I appreciate that Wendy is always available when needed and is happy to follow up on any requests promptly. I certainly won’t be looking to change agents or property managers in the near future!

Wendy Clothier agreed in December 2017 to act as agent for our house in Belair after the previous agent had tried for six weeks to find a tenant, without success. Wendy was exceptionally active and tenacious in marketing the property, including over the Christmas-New Year period, and in keeping me fully informed throughout. She has excellent market knowledge, and is a pleasure to work with - friendly, helpful, and candid but tactful. I have worked with a number of agents as a landlord and as a tenant, including several whose work has been of a high professional standard. Of them all, Wendy would be my first recommendation. To Whom It May Concern, My husband and I are delighted to recommend Wendy Clothier, Senior Property Manager at Raine and Horne Blackwood. We have worked with Wendy for 6 years, since 2012. She has always been friendly, diligent, available, and has followed up queries and requests immediately. Her replies often come back late at night, on a weekend or on a public holiday. This shows her commitment to clients, working ‘above the call of duty’, within a very short time frame. Wendy considers each situation we have faced with tenants, so that it causes the least inconvenience or complaints,. She sources reliable workers and repairers, at reasonable costs, and always offers a few suggestions or ideas. Wendy is open to discussion about the various options. Wendy follows up any worries or requests within a short timeframe. She will speak to tenants about our concerns or worries. She keeps both the tenant’s needs and the landlord’s requests in mind, working out what is the most reasonable result for both parties. When we haven’t been sure what to do with a certain situation or problem, we always feel free to discuss it with Wendy, knowing that she will come back with options for us to consider. She is always available by email, text or phone, and returns messages or makes contact very quickly. A few times when we have been unhappy with tenants, Wendy has acted quickly on our requests and has spoken to tenants, to amend an unacceptable situation. If there has been a misunderstanding or a query with payments made, Wendy will always get it sorted out smoothly, quickly and clearly, so that we have a better understanding of the situation. As we travel often, we appreciate that we can confidently leave our property in good hands. Wendy hasn’t seen this as a problem. Communication has continued, by email, or text, which has worked well. It hasn’t mattered if we were overseas, or in the Australian Outback. It has been a pleasure working with Wendy. Wendy originally was recommended to us by Cathy Anderson, from Smartline in Blackwood - a lady we respect greatly. Now, we also recommend Wendy’s services to anyone needing a Property Manager. We have recommended Wendy to our daughter and some close friends. We have dealt with property management agents previously, and have been less than impressed. Previous experiences made us somewhat wary of engaging anybody to manage our property, and I will be honest when I say that we were reluctant to take this step when we first decided to rent our property. When we did engage R&H it was primarily because we needed to rent our property, not because we wanted to, and we only approached you (Wendy) as you were recommended by our mortgage broker. I think we have been pleasantly surprised at the service you have provided, over the last two years there have been minor things come up that have not gone smoothly, but that is to be expected and overall, things have gone well. Generally, you have been communicative, you deal with the tenants to the extent that I expect, you manage contractors when these have been required, and most importantly, the rental income is paid to us monthly without failure. • Wendy is very pleasant to deal with and very accessible and responsive • Wendy does her job well, managing the property on our behalf • Wendy is very good at relaying matters concerning the property to us • Wendy has been very proactive in looking for tenants for our property, so negating any rental down time • Wendy manages the tenants very well; after the last tenants left I visited the house and was very impressed with the condition it was left in • Rental income is always paid on time • Local company based in Blackwood, who seem to know the area in terms of the rental market

Dear Wendy Max and I are very happy to give you feedback for your potential clients. We have worked with you for many years, firstly with our North Adelaide Property. When we were renting it out, the previous Agent did not seem to grasp the fact that we wanted tenants who would fit into the little “no through” court in which our house stood and act responsibly towards the few other residents and to our property. I was keeping my ear to the ground to see if I could get a competent Property Manager who understood this concept and strangely enough your name came up through a contact that my daughter had with Raine and Horne. The particular contact from your office was too overloaded and could not take us on, but gave me your name and suggested that I should meet with you, which I did, and you understood at the outset what our brief was on the cottage. You have a team member, Jill, who handles the finances and was willing to explain how she operated and pass on any messages to you. Before we signed with Raine and Horne Blackwood we had our hesitations about the overwhelming task that was finding tenants, renting our house and moving states. However, as soon as we met with Wendy Clothier, our wonderful Property Manager, we felt at ease. Wendy is lovely; thorough, professional, honest and easy to communicate with. She took the time to explain the path forward, taking the stress out of the process for us. Our property listing was excellent and from this Wendy secured great tenants for our house.
