TOP TIPS FOR SELLING YOUR PROPERTY

  • Emotional Connection

Prospective buyers need to feel an emotional connection to your home.  Create an inviting space for them so they can easily envisage their new lifestyle. Set up the lounge for cosy evenings watching TV and the breakfast bar for enjoying family breakfasts together.

 

  • Spruce up!

Take a critical look and see if your home could do with a paint refresh.  A fresh coat of paint can do wonder to lift tired or flagging rooms and inject some live back in.

 

  • Tidy up

It’s time to put all the excess clutter and paperwork in the back of the cupboard.   Tidy up any bills and notices pinned to your fridge.  Make sure all the rooms are clean and tidy and well presented.

Make sure the lawn is mowed and the garden is looking in tip top shape with beds weeded and hedges trimmed.  The garden will be first on display as prospective buyers pull up to your home, so you want to make sure it’s making the best first impression possible.

See what sets your home apart from other properties in the area and play to that.  If you’ve got a swimming pool or outdoor entertaining area, be sure to have that styled.  You can speak with your real estate agent to get their ideas and opinions as they will be able to give you their thoughts based on their experience of selling homes in your local area.
