Major awards shared between Superbrand’s best city and country offices

April 4, 2022

In a significant display of the strength of the Raine & Horne brand across NSW, two of the most prestigious awards presented at the annual Raine & Horne NSW State Awards were shared by agents from the city and the bush.

The annual awards, which attracted an audience of over 450, were held at the magnificent Parkside Ballroom with the ICC Centre at Darling Harbour and were hosted by Australian entertainment royalty Andrew Daddo and Angus Raine, Executive Chairman, Raine & Horne.

In the highly competitive Top Principal – Sales Dollar Value award, Mr Ben Pryde, Co-Principal of Mollymook/Ulladulla/Milton, edged out perennial category winner Mr Ric Serrao, Principal of Double Bay Bondi Beach. Mr Pryde scored a rare quinella, winning the Top Principal – Number of Sales category.

However, Mr Serrao and his Double Bay-based real estate juggernaut didn’t go home empty-handed. The leading office scored first in the Top Salesperson Dollar  Value category with young gun Mr Alex Lyons taking the gong, with Ms Rebecca Mitchell from Raine & Horne Lower North Shore coming in a close second. Raine & Horne Double Bay/Bondi Beach dominated this category with Mr Dion Markovics, Mr Hannan Bouskila, and Mr Paul Langsam joining Mr Lyons among the best agents based on the dollar value of their sales.

The Eastern Suburb’s office also won the Top Multi-Office – Sales Dollar Value, and Top Office – Number of Sales and Dollar Value. Mr Markovics and Mr Hannan placed in the Top 10 in the Top Salesperson – Number of Sales category won by Jack Turner from Raine & Horne St Marys.

An extremely humble Mr Pryde said that as a leading principal and office, Mr Serrao and his team were always going to be a challenge to beat, “winning year in, year out.”

Mr Pryde added, “Coming up against top agents such as Ric Serrao and his very polished team in Double Bay ensures the bar is set very high.

“Operating in a regional area, we need many runs on the board to get to that level and winning an award like this involves the support and collaboration of the whole team.”

“But it’s exhilarating and just so worthwhile to win awards such as this and get some credit for the team effort.”

Apart from winning the Top Principal – Sales Dollar Value award, Raine & Horne Mollymook/Ulladulla/Milton finished first in the Top Coastal Office – Sales Dollar Value category. The NSW South Coast powerhouse also finished second behind Raine & Horne Double Bay/Bondi Beach in the Top Office for 2021 based on the Number of Sales and third behind Mr Serrao’s Eastern Suburbs juggernaut in the Top Office Dollar Value category.

Raine & Horne Double Bay/Bondi Beach sales ace Mr Lyons, who at one point was part of the elite playing roster at NRL heavyweight the Sydney Roosters, is thrilled at winning the Top Salesperson Number of Sales.

“I won’t beat around the bush. I love winning awards as I have a competitive background. I love competing and doing my best, and these awards reflect my effort, attitude, and application,” said Mr Lyons.

Forestville sales ace recognised for commitment to Raine & Horne

Northern Beaches sales ace Mr Sam Pfafflin, Director Raine & Horne Forestville/Frenchs Forest, was named the Graeme Skarratt OAM (GSK) Award recipient for 2022. In 2022, Raine & Horne Forestville/Frenchs Forest is celebrating 15 years with the 139-year-old real estate group.

Mr Raine, who presented the award to Mr Pfafflin, said, “Graeme Skarratt was a loyal professional and dedicated Director of the Company. He retired in 2006 after over 40 years with the company.

“The GSK award is presented to outstanding individuals who have demonstrated those qualities of loyalty, professionalism, and dedication and have supported others in the industry and across Raine & Horne.

“Sam has been a part of our Raine & Horne family for 15 years. He continues to be a great advocate of the brand while establishing an environment and ecosystem that encourages growth within the team.

“A true embodiment of our values, Sam is renowned network-wide for his active participation in all the industry-best services and products we offer.” Apart from Mr Pfafflin winning the GSK Award, Raine & Horne Forestville’s Kristy Donkin was named the Superbrand’s Outstanding Office Support Residential

The city and country theme dominated the award categories in the commercial property categories. Raine & Horne Commercial Inner West/South Sydney won Top Commercial Office – Sales Dollar Value, while Raine & Horne Commercial Macarthur scored the Top Commercial Office – Number of Sales award.

Mr Daniel Krobot, Principal of Raine & Horne Commercial Macarthur, was named Top Commercial Salesperson for Number of Sales. At the same time, Mr Luke Smith, Co-Principal of Raine & Horne Commercial Inner West/South Sydney, grabbed first in the Sales Dollar Value category
