History of Robina:

Robina's history began in the 1980s.  Having mostly been dairy country, a 20 square kilometre parcel of land was acquired by property developer Arthur Earle who partnered with a Singapore developer, Dr Robin Loh.  This parcel of land ran from the Pacific Highway in the west (to where Bond University would later be built), and north to Carrara (including Clear Island Waters and part of Mermaid Waters).

By 1985 the Queensland Government indicated its intention to build a new railway line through

Cbus

to Robina (as by then the surrounding area - Albert Shire, was one of the fastest growing regions in Australia). Robina has been growing at an exponential rate for the last three decades and today is one of Australia's fastest growing suburbs.
