Mandurah is a city in WA, about 72km south of the state capital, Perth. It is the fastest-growing regional city in Australia and the largest city in WA outside the Perth metropolitan area. The population was 67,813 at the 2006 census.

Mandurah is the capital of the Peel region and considered the gateway to the South West, blessed with a unique blend of coastal living, natural bushland, thriving industry and inner-city living. The city centre is positioned around Mandjar Bay, making it water lover's paradise. The area has a Mediterranean style climate, with warm to hot summers and cool, wet winters.

Tourism is one of Mandurah’s main industries, with thousands of domestic and international visitors arriving every year. The selection of restaurants in Mandurah is excellent. The city is also famous for its protected waterways, beaches and boating and fishing activities, with plenty of beaches for both surfing and families.

Mandurah's connection with the Perth CBD was strengthened with the opening of the Perth-Mandurah railway line in 2007. The Mandurah Entrance Road, due for completion in 2010, will provide a direct link from the Kwinana Freeway to Mandurah. Public transport is by bus.

Mandurah boasts a wide variety of sporting activities, particularly golf. There are several quality courses including the Mandurah Country Club, Meadow Springs Golf Club, Secret Harbour Golf Links and The Cut.

The city is served by many primary and secondary schools, as well as Mandurah Hospital.
