Gungahlin is the name of a suburb in Canberra in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) and is also the name of the district in which it sits.
Gungahlin is next to the suburbs of Ngunnawal, Palmerston, Franklin, Harrison, Throsby, Forde and Amaroo. The edges of the suburb are on Horse Park Drive, Gundaroo Drive and Gungahlin Drive. The area is growing rapidly and has become a popular suburb for families. Many of these suburbs have their own selection of shops, including a small supermarket.
The Gungahlin Town Centre is relatively new and has an excellent selection of shops and facilities, including supermarkets, fresh food and deli, butchers, Medicare, banks, speciality shops and medical facilities, licensed club.
Several sporting codes are represented and there are plenty of wide open spaces, parks and playing fields.
Gungahlin has several quality schools and is less than 20 mins drive to Canberra’s CBD, the Australian National University, the University of Canberra, Australian Institute of Sport (AIS), Parliament House, The Australian War Memorial and many other Canberra attractions.
