R&H Suburb Profile BELLA VISTA

Bella Vista is about 33km north-west of Sydney's CBD, in the Hills Shire area.

Residents enjoy a mix of urban and rural lifestyles, with excellent restaurants and modern shopping facilities, roadside stalls and peaceful bushland areas.

Shopping/Commercial

The suburb has several shopping complexes and a major hotel. The biggest commercial area is the Norwest Business Park, which incorporates retail, commercial, industrial and hotel developments. It is home to the Hillsong Church and several large-scale corporation headquarters. In 2006 Woolworths Limited joined its sub-management offices into a $200 million complex in Norwest Business Park. As a result, Bella Vista was listed in Fortune's Global 500 list as one of the cities where Global 500 companies have their headquarters, ranking above Singapore, Miami and Baltimore and alongside Bangkok and Boston.

Marketplace Norwest is a shopping centre featuring supermarkets, specialty store and a day care centre. Circa Retail is a shopping centre in South Norwest Business Park (West Bella Vista) featuring a supermarket and 25 speciality stores.

Transport

A major factor in the suburb’s growth is its prime location near the end of the M2 motorway. In good traffic it takes just over 30 minutes to get to the CBD. However, during peak hours the drive is significantly longer. Bella Vista is also close to two major north-south transport routes through Sydney, the Cumberland Highway and the Westlink M7.

The closest railway station is at Seven Hills. Buses are the only form of public transport, with relatively frequent buses connecting Bella Vista with nearby of Parramatta, Castle Hill, Blacktown and Seven Hills. There are also peak services directly to the CBD.

Bella Vista is close to many schools including Crestwood High and Primary, St Michaels Primary, Matthew Pearce Primary and Baulkham Hills High.
