Albany Creek is about 17km north-west of Brisbane, bordered by Bunyaville State Forest on one side and South Pine River on the other.

Originally called ‘Chinaman’s Creek’, the suburb features an assortment of homes, small villa complexes and acreage properties. The neighbouring suburbs of Cashmere, Eatons Hill and Warner feature large acreage properties.

Albany Creek is within close proximity of both Westfield Strathpine and Westfield Chermside shopping centres.  The suburb boasts many fast food outlets, Woolworths and Coles shopping complexes and a variety of other shopping facilities. There are regular bus services to Brisbane’s CBD.

The area continues to attract both residents and businesses keen to take advantage of the suburb's ideal location.

Albany Creek’s education infrastructure includes a state high school, two state primary schools and two private schools (All Saints & Good Shepherd Christian College). There is also a council library. Young families can choose from a wide variety of kindergartens and day care centres.

There are plenty of recreational facilities including a skating rink, tavern, two golf courses in neighbouring Brendale, and a council operated leisure centre featuring pools, water slides and a new gymnasium. There are also parks and walking trails throughout suburb.
