Preparing your rental application correctly and ensuring you have all relevant documents is critical for you to be approved and securing that perfect property. A complete application will allow for a quick and easy approval process.  

Be prepared and have copies of the following documents ready:

1Two forms of valid identification.

1) Photo identification - in the form of a driver's licensed/photo card or passport that confirms you are who you say you are.
2) Secondary form -  a Medicare card, energy bill, or a bank statement with your name on it.

Proof of income  
Payslips  - This is important to prove to the property manager that you can pay the rent. Provide three recent payslips, or if you're with a center link, an updated income statement and with a bank statement.

Rental History 
Provide a summary of your past rental payment history or ledger. This documentation can be from another real estate agency which will be highly recognised. 

Reference letters
Provide reference letters from employees, past landlords, or real estate agencies to prove you are a trustworthy and respectful tenant. If you have a pet provide past references regarding any animals.

Cover letter
Introduce yourself, what you do why you are moving and who you will be living with.

Completed application form
Make sure you fill out and have signed all relevant details on the application form.
