WHY SHOULD YOU BUY HOMES IN WAGGA WAGGA?
“You don’t call Wagga Wagga, Wagga." It’s so nice you say it twice!
Our vibrant and thriving city is located in the heart of the Riverina and surrounds the banks of the beautiful Murrumbidgee River.
68,000 people from all walks of life call our wonderful city home. Located just under 5 hours from Sydney and Melbourne, we see even more people escaping the city life and planting roots here in our regional town for the country lifestyle. After the COVID-19 Pandemic, we saw the majority of our enquiries for property for sale, coming from relocating families from the cities or investors from the cities, and it's no wonder why!
People are drawn to Wagga Wagga for our strong sense of community, our wonderful facilities and our ever-growing city centre. We are also proud of our local primary and high schools with a total of 28 schools spread across our suburbs.
So.. Why Wagga Wagga?
Strong sense of Community - Wagga Wagga is well know for our community events, often including multicultural, food and wine and musical festivals.
Kapooka Defence Base and Charles Sturt University – The army base and university have an influx of people come to our lovely town every year. The RAAF base is also located on the outskirts of Wagga Wagga in the town of Forest Hill.
Local Growth - With 14% growth from 2021-2022, this also sees our rental market reach an all time high and the median rental price of $460 per week.
Local Shopping and Attractions – The hustle and bustle of our main streets have grown over the years, with streets like Fitzmaurice, Baylis and Gurwood street being home to boutique shopping while staying managed and owned by locals. Attractions such as our beautiful Murrumbidgee River, Lake Albert, Marrambidya Wetlands and Botanical Gardens, mould Wagga into the picturesque family town we call home.
With the median property price in Wagga sitting around $650,000, we are seeing this to continue to rise going into 2023. The days on market for our Wagga homes are still proving to outshine our cities also sitting at an average 38 days.
