WATER RESTRICTIONS EASED

Bathurst regional council recently announced that water restrictions for all households and residents using Bathurst water supply, have eased.

With good rain over recent months the city’s primary water supply, Ben Chifley Dam, has reached close to capacity, rising from 59% to almost 100% over the period of a week!

As a result, and effective from the 28th of August 2020, water restrictions for lawns & home gardens will be as follows:

  • Watering is permitted before 10:00am and after 4:00pm
  • The ODDS and EVENS system will apply
  • Maximum of 60 minutes total per permitted day
  • Hoses with a trigger nozzle, buckets, watering cans and irrigation systems with micro sprays can all be used.
