Charity Fundraising

We are proud to support a range of great charities and fundraising initiatives that are doing a lot of good in our local communities.

International Breast Cancer Awareness Month - Bathurst Breast Cancer Creperie Fundraising Event

On the 25th of September 2019, Raine and Horne Bathurst took the opportunity to focus on breast cancer and its impact on those affected in our community. Fundraising events, held annually across Australia, have made a significant impact on Breast Cancer Research, with survival rates continuing to improve with 89 out of every 100 women diagnosed with invasive breast cancer now surviving five or more years beyond diagnosis.

With great joy, we are proud to announce that the Bathurst Breast Cancer Creperie Fundraising Event was a tremendous success.

The support from local businesses, including Megan from Dejorja Boutique who styled the café and donated all the cakes and slices, Bernard’s Bakery, 58 George Signs, Bathurst City Life, 2bs, Western Advocate, Blaney Wholesale Foods, Bernardi’s Marketplace, and especially the support from Raine and Horne Bathurst made the day possible and showed the spirit of our local community comingh together. As cancer is so prominent in today’s society, we are all affected with some type of cancer, whether through friends or family. Thus, International Breast Cancer Awareness Month provides the perfect opportunity to give back.

The team at Raine and Horne Bathurst stepped up and everyone pitched in. Chris Hagney, along with friends, Nicole Kotze and Robbie and Bernadine Jackson flipped crepes for the entire event, while Greg Westman strolled Bathurst’s streets to get feet in the door. This day could not have been possible without everyone’s help. It was an absolute showcase of the strength of Raine and Horne Bathurst’s culture and strength of the organisation.

Together, we raised over $1200 for Breast Cancer Research, and everyone agreed that the success achieved has set the stage for an annual event.
