Grant sits down to discuss the Bathurst Market for October in the beautful gardens of 6 Busby Street.


"Well October was by far and away a true reflection of selling season – with the sun shining and the birds singing it certainly bought out the buyers in the market place as well.

In the Bathurst Market the median house value is still sitting around $374,000 and units at $277,000. Interestingly enough, over the last month we have seen 67 properties across Bathurst sell, which is a massive start to the spring selling season.

Average days on the market has reduced from 60 to approx. 48 days – which again you can expect to decrease even more as we close in on the warmer months.

During the month of October we seen an influx of great properties coming on to the market, however the demand of buyers is still very strong, and the market place is in need of homes to sell.

October saw some sensational sales such as 5 Gibsone Drive at a $610,000, this 4 bedroom, open plan property complete sensational views back over Bathurst was something truly awesome. From our rural side we saw a great result with 1095 Turondale Road, an awesome property on the outskirts of town set upon approx. 152 cleared acres. Selling for $575,000, this was a great result for our vendors and purchasers.
