Raine & Horne Double Bay again scoops major office awards

• Raine & Horne NSW/ACT Annual State Awards held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney on Saturday 16th February, 2013

In a glittering event held at the prestigious Four Seasons Hotel on Saturday night, over 400 of Raine & Horne’s best and brightest from across NSW and the ACT gathered to recognise the leading property group’s best sales offices, sales agents, and property managers for 2012.

In a major sign that real estate activity is collecting pace outside of Sydney, Central Coast-based Andrew Sorensen, Principal of Raine & Horne Charmhaven, grabbed the hotly contested Top Salesperson (Number of Sales) category and Top Auction Lister, while Michael Harris of Raine & Horne Newtown collected the award for Top Salesperson (Dollar Value).

On the office front, Raine & Horne Double Bay continued its domination of the office categories with a quartet of victories. Raine & Horne’s flagship office, led by Ric Serrao, Barry Goldman, Mark Goldman and Martin Maskin, secured the Top Office (Number of Sales) and Top Office (Dollar Value) categories, along with the Multiple Office Award (Dollar Value) and the Metropolitan Auction Shield.

Raine & Horne Bathurst scooped the regional accolades, grabbing the Top Rural Office (Dollar Value) and Top Country Office (Dollar Value) award.

Meanwhile, Raine & Horne Mollymook/Milton outpointed Raine & Horne Batemans Bay for the Top Coastal Office (Dollar Value) prize.

Raine & Horne Byron Bay distinguished itself in the Top Office Business Growth (Dollar Value) award after significantly increasing its sales returns over the past 12 months, while Raine & Horne Kogarah won Top Office Business Growth (Number of Sales) for the development in its sales volumes.

“Despite 2012 being a challenging year for real estate markets across NSW and the ACT, the Raine & Horne network excelled, expanding into new urban and regional real estate markets with the addition of seven new residential offices over the past twelve months at West Hoxton, Toowoon Bay, Killarney Vale, Toronto, Carlingford, Hurstville and South Hurstville,” said Angus Raine, CEO, Raine & Horne.

Mr Raine added that the Australian Superbrand, which celebrates its 130^th year of operation in 2013, is gearing up for further growth, stimulated by an improving property market.

“Consumer confidence is collecting pace, while a few more interest rate cuts, which we are expecting before winter, will help underpin real estate values,” said Mr Raine, who is predicting some markets in NSW and ACT will enjoy up to 5% capital growth in 2013.

In a night of celebrated achievements, Mr Raine also spoke about the humbling moment when Raine & Horne was inducted into the Family Business Australia’s inaugural Hall of Fame in 2012.
