Craigieburn sales duo join Australia’s fastest growing real estate network

Media release

Melbourne, Victoria (16 April 2018) Raine & Horne, Australia’s fastest growing real estate brand has opened its twentieth new office in the last six months with the launch of a business in Melbourne’s north.

Sales aces Gary Verma and Terry Singh will lead Raine & Horne Craigieburn, with the dynamic duo switching to the 135-year-old global property firm after stints as agents with another real estate group.

Randolph Clements, Managing Director, Raine & Horne Victoria, said, “Craigieburn is strategically vital to our expansion as it is now a suburb to watch after being overlooked by owner-occupiers and investors for many years.

“Craigieburn now has some of Melbourne’s best shopping centres including the stunning Craigieburn Central, where Raine & Horne Craigieburn is strategically located, and Highlands Shopping Centre.”

Expanded shopping precincts are an excellent sign that significant retailers believe a suburb or region has excellent growth prospects, noted Mr Clements.

“Raine & Horne has identified the region as a major Melbourne growth hub, and we are delighted that Terry and Gary have agreed to establish a beachhead in this critical market for our business.

“Developers have shifted to the area, and the resulting subdivisions and the magnificent homes have combined to elevate Craigieburn’s reputation with buyers.”

The proximity of Craigieburn to Tullamarine Airport is another major factor in the suburb’s appeal.

“Craigieburn is not far from Campbellfield which is a major centre for the many transport companies who need to be close to the airport. The proliferation of nearby transport businesses is creating work for residents living in Craigieburn,” Mr Clements said.

The suburb’s proximity to the airport coupled with its relative affordability is helping to attract Sydney downsizers to Melbourne suburb, according to Mr Singh, who has a master’s degree in commerce from the University of Ballarat and is a former accountant.

“The median house price in Craigieburn is $525,000. So, downsizers can sell a small house in Sydney and buy a property in Craigieburn to live in, and another house as an investment asset,” Mr Singh said.

“By being close to the airport, new Craigieburn residents can easily get back to visit friends and family in Sydney,” Mr Singh said.

Mr Singh and Mr Verma have enjoyed successful careers in sales, and recently added real estate to their resumes. The pair worked for another franchise group but in late 2017 decided to start a business.

“At this point, we began looking at different groups, and we were attracted to Raine & Horne because it has an impeccable name, offers excellent support and has many good people such as Randolph leading its team,” Mr Singh said.

“As soon as we met Randolph he was very supportive and explained in a commonsense way the benefits of joining Raine & Horne.

“We also decided to work with Randolph because of his support and we were impressed that if we needed his help at 9 p.m., he’d always be able to help us.”
