Going, going, almost all gone at Barangaroo

Media release - 14th November, 2016

702/17 Barangaroo Avenue, BarangarooIt’s almost a full house at Sydney’s magnificent Barangaroo, with only two luxurious multi-million dollar pads currently available for sale, according to leading real estate group, Raine & Horne.

Matthew Mifsud and John Ellis from Raine & Horne City Living have listed a magnificent 3-bedroom, two-level penthouse at 702/17 Barangaroo Avenue, Barangaroo which is expected to fetch $6 million.

Raine & Horne City Living has also listed for sale a luxury, 2-bedroom apartment at 501/21 Barangaroo Avenue, which is expected to sell for around $3.15 million.

“There are only two established apartments available for sale in Barangaroo due to the strong overseas buyer demand for property in Australia’s most sought-after waterfront precinct,” said Mr Mifsud.

“Augmenting the supply issue is the fact that only 159 apartments have been built at Barangaroo to date, which also explains why it’s such a tightly-held location.”

Both apartments are expected to attract local and overseas buyers, and unlike future developments, the multi-million dollar apartments on Barangaroo Avenue are absolute waterfronts.

501/21 Barangaroo Avenue, Barangaroo“This means the apartments, which were completed in 2015, can’t be blocked out by any future developments, a situation that will appeal to savvy buyers. All that is between the apartments and the harbour is a walkway,” said Mr Mifsud.

“To date, around 80% of enquiries have come from overseas buyers, mostly from Asia.”

Regarding the penthouse at 702/17 Barangaroo Avenue, Barangaroo, Mr Ellis, said the apartment defines ultra-contemporary city living, with its spacious open plan design, seamless indoor/outdoor entertaining areas, and breathtaking uninterrupted views of Sydney Harbour.

“Designed with an unquestionable architectural pedigree by FJMT’s renowned architect Richard Francis-Jones, this near new penthouse apartment is a rare statement of prestige and sophistication,” he said.

Likewise, the exquisite residence 501/21 Barangaroo Avenue offers an undeniable quality and unparalleled setting, according to Mr Ellis, who is the Principal of Raine & Horne City Living.

“This luxuriously appointed, low-maintenance apartment is a home of space and natural light, with spectacular and uninterrupted views of Sydney Harbour.”
