Gold Coast property firm’s winning ways underscore the holiday strip's return to real estate form

Media release - 24 February 2015

Raine & Horne Pacific Pines/Oxenford proved a big winner at Raine & Horne’s annual Queensland awards held at the luxurious Hilton Brisbane on Saturday 21 February, 2015.

The leading Gold Coast real estate firm grabbed the Multiple Office Award, while sales ace Tim Gerards scored first place in the competitive top salesperson for dollar value and number of sales categories.

Additionally, Raine & Horne Palm Cove won the award as Raine & Horne’s top office for business growth in Queensland, calculated on number of sales.

Raine & Horne Pacific Pines/Oxenford winning ways can be attributed to rebounding confidence in the Gold Coast property market, as well as the leadership, vision and business planning of its principal Julian Porter, according to Angus Raine, Chairman and CEO of Raine & Horne.

“The Gold Coast real estate market is benefiting from lower interest rates, the falling Australian dollar and the massive financial injection in local infrastructure to ensure the region is ready for the Commonwealth Games in 2018,” said Mr Raine.

“However the success of Raine & Horne Pacific Pines/Oxenford should not be attributed to the local booming economy only but rather to the targets it has set to become one of our best offices in Queensland, which it has achieved.

“Julian and his team, along with Raine & Horne Toowoomba are now eyeing off the national gong for best office, which Sydney property powerhouse Raine & Horne Double Bay has held a virtual mortgage on for the past decade.”

Raine & Horne Toowoomba was confirmed as leading real estate network’s top office based on number of sales in Queensland. The leading Darling Downs real estate firm also added the trophy as the best office for dollar value to its silverware.

Star sales agent Margaret Vote was named the bestselling principal for dollar value in 2014, and John Allery from Raine & Horne Kingaroy took first place as Raine & Horne’s top rural agent. Raine & Horne Kingaroy was named top rural office based on dollar value.

Stephen King of Raine & Horne Hervey Bay scored first in the Top Auction Lister category. Raine & Horne Hervey Bay won the Auction Shield, which recognises the network’s best country/coastal auction listing office, and Raine & Horne Cleveland was named the best Brisbane office for auction listings.

The commercial categories were once again dominated by Raine & Horne Commercial North, which was named the leading office for dollar value sales and the Top Commercial Office for Business Growth (Dollar Value).

Raine & Horne Commercial Brisbane North’s Lawrence Temple edged out his boss Trent Bruce to take the award as the Top Commercial Salesperson (Sales Dollar Value) while Hudson Dale scooped the number of leasing transactions and leasing dollar value categories. To complete the award whitewash for Raine & Horne Commercial Brisbane North, Geoffrey Cooper scored a win in the best commercial property manager category.

Gina Wells, Principal of Raine & Horne Burpengary and Raine & Horne Narangba & Morayfield, was honoured with Graeme Skarratt Award for her commitment to Raine & Horne and the Queensland property market.
